IMBA

MBA for International Managers (or IMBA) is a program designed for Asian professionals to improve their competitiveness and advance their career in the global business environment. Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree and at least three years of relevant work experience (subject to UIC business school’s review). Although TOFEL and GMAT scores are not required, each applicant will be interviewed by UIC faculty and staff and required to take a written test. Instead of the regular 2-year MBA study, IMBA program duration is 12 months which is achieved by eliminating the winter and summer breaks in the regular program. IMBA program is structured in modules (instead of semesters) and students enter the program as a group (cohort). For more details or questions, applicants can contact IMBA Taiwan office or see the information at www.uic-imba.org.

IMBA program currently offers three areas of focus: Financial Markets and Risk Management (FMRM), Strategic and International Management (IM), and Banking (BKG). In general, applicants to IMBA program have chosen to focus their career in financial markets (trading, brokerage, mutual funds, corporate treasury, and etc), or in banking industry, or in general management of multinational business (financial industry included) before enrollment.
